Stories have always been at the heart of Big Thinking Publishing, and Storykeepers is how we take that work further into the community.

Storykeepers Community CIC is an independent, not-for-profit community interest company founded by Big Thinking Publishing’s Kate Simkins. It develops creative projects that use storytelling, writing and publishing to bring people together, preserve voices and help more people see themselves as storytellers.

Big Thinking Publishing and Storykeepers work alongside one another. BTP brings publishing expertise, while Storykeepers creates community-led opportunities where commercial publishing isn’t the goal. That might mean helping older people record their memories, encouraging reluctant young readers to create a comic, celebrating underrepresented voices, or connecting children around the world through stories.

The two organisations are separate, with different purposes and finances, but share one rather important belief:

Everyone has a story worth telling.
